BAR air unit visibility, transport delivery tricks, and lava crossing
Landing aircraft for stealth, using transports for automated delivery, and getting units across lava.
Why landing air units matters
Landed aircraft are harder to spot because enemy units use ground line of sight instead of air line of sight for detecting them. Ground LoS range is shorter than air LoS range. Landed planes also stop flying around randomly and stay clustered, making them easier to protect with anti-air.
Anti-air projectiles can still hit landed aircraft. Landing does not make them invulnerable. It just makes them harder to find.
Transport guard for automated delivery
If you set a transport to guard a lab, it automatically picks up finished units and flies them to the first lab rally point. This saves manual micro. Load up the lab, rally where you need units, and the transport handles the rest.
Repairing units across lava
Getting a single unit across lava requires air constructors to repair it during transit. You need enough air cons to sustain the repair chain, and you need air control for this to work safely. Without air superiority, your air cons become targets.
