When Is Legion Navy Coming to Beyond All Reason?
Players have been asking about the Legion faction's naval units for months. Here is what the development timeline looks like.

Legion naval units timeline
The Legion faction received Commander variants and early land units as its initial playable release. Naval content follows a longer development cycle because the Spring engine handles water-based units differently than land units. Legion Navy tier 1 has been in active development with a minimum estimated timeline of several months before public availability.
NAval factions already present in BAR like ATL and CORE have established water control strategies. Legion entering the naval space will shift those dynamics significantly. Legion's design identity around faster, more aggressive units should produce a very different naval playstyle compared to traditional BAR factions.
Territorial game mode
The Territorial game mode has been discussed alongside faction development as another piece of upcoming content. This mode is still in development without a public release date. The complexity of territory-based objectives on BAR-large maps requires careful balancing to prevent stalemates or early snowball advantages.
Both Legion Navy and Territorial represent the BAR development team's commitment to expanding what the game offers beyond standard deathmatch and team matches.
Spectator widget security
While waiting for new content, it is worth noting how BAR handles spectator interface security. Widgets can technically issue commands while spectating, but the game client denies most of those commands unless the widget has been specifically exposed for that purpose. This security model prevents spectators from accidentally or intentionally interfering with live matches through custom UI modifications.
The Creed of Champions approach
Creed of Champions members follow BAR development closely and run structured sessions around new content releases. When Legion Navy drops, the community will be running early-experiment matches to document what works in coordinated team games. Watch BAR gameplay and events on our YouTube channel
