Radar and Jammer Instakill Interactions in BAR
Certain weapons and abilities in Beyond All Reason carry a special interaction against radar and jammer units. Knowing which units are vulnerable saves you from sudden, confusing losses.

How the mechanics work
Some BAR abilities and weapons carry an instant-kill effect against units that possess radar or jamming capabilities. When a weapon with this interaction strikes a radar jammer bot, stationary jammer, or radar unit, the target is destroyed immediately regardless of its remaining hit points. This applies to both mobile jammer bots and the larger stationary installations.
Units that get insta-killed
The following categories of units are affected by radar-specific instakill mechanics:
- Radar jammer bots and radar jammer vehicles
- Stationary jammer and radar buildings
- Scout units including wheels, ticks, rovers, and rascals
The commander itself has built-in radar, but it does not get insta-killed by these interactions. The game protects the commander from this particular vulnerability.
How to protect your radar assets
Place your radar and jammer units behind your defensive line, never exposed on the front edge. They are force multipliers that lose value instantly if caught by the right weapons. A t2 or t3 anti-air or artillery strike that carries the instakill flag wipes a jammer in one shot, collapsing your vision network suddenly.
Building duplicate jammer installations in separate locations is a smart countermeasure. If one falls, your radar picture degrades but does not collapse entirely.
Bad information is worse than no information
One principle BAR players discuss often: faulty or partial radar data can be more harmful than none at all. If your jammers are compromised and you think you are watching an area that no longer reports, you expose yourself to flanking. Trust your intelligence sources or confirm with scouts before committing forces to areas covered by jammers you have not verified recently.
Creed of Champions
Understanding these mechanics is the difference between a confident team push and walking into an ambush. Creed of Champions builds players who know their units inside out, communicate radar status clearly, and keep composure when the fog of war rolls in. That is the kind of disciplined teamwork that wins close matches.
[Crd] It is so easy to get on with everyone and there is zero toxicity. Just fun games of BAR which can have quite a toxic community usually.
