How BAR Rating Works When Resigning or Leaving
Leaving after resignation only preserves your rating credit in limited cases near the end of a match. Here is what you need to know about BAR rating rules.
Resignation and Rating Protection
When a team resigns in Beyond All Reason, the match outcome is determined by the team result. Leaving the game after resignation does not automatically protect your rating. You only receive rating credit in limited cases where the match is near completion.
This means your best option is almost always to stay in the match until the formal resignation or game end. Walking away early risks losing rating credit even if your team was planning to concede.
Team Result Determines Rating
BAR uses team-based rating calculations. When the match ends, whether through resignation or defeat, the entire team is evaluated together. Individual performance does not override the team outcome.
This encourages staying through difficult games and supporting your team rather than abandoning a sinking ship to protect personal rating numbers.
Keep Improving
