When to resign in BAR and why it matters for fair play

Recognize a lost position

If your economy is shattered, your production facilities are gone, and you have no path to recover, concede. Forcing the opponent to clean up a dead army wastes everyone's time. A clean resignation gets your lobby moving to the next game faster.

Do not rage quit midfight

Resigning after a fight goes against you is fine. Quitting mid-engagement while teammates still fight is never acceptable. It creates an unfair numbers disadvantage and frustrates the people on your team who are still trying.

Communicate before you click concede

In team games, tell your allies you are considering resignation. They might have a plan you cannot see from your position. A quick chat message gives them a chance to coordinate or agree that the position is truly lost.
