How wind turbines and constructor types work in BAR
Wind behaves differently than you would expect, and constructor units each have their place.
Wind mechanics explained
Wind turbines in BAR spin based on a two-dimensional random variable. Wind splits into north-south and east-west components. The displayed speed is the magnitude calculated from both components. That is why turbines turn to face different directions instead of just spinning faster when wind is high.
The game uses concentric circles to model minimum and maximum wind values. Wind speed is the point between those circles. This matters when you plan energy infrastructure, since a spot with erratic wind produces less reliable power than steady wind at the same average.
Constructor types: bots, vehicles, air, and combat engineers
T1 constructors generally build only T1 buildings except for factories. T2 constructors build T2 buildings. Combat engineers sit in between. They can build a mix of both, specializing in fortifying forward positions. The Twitcher is the Cortex combat engineer bot and the Consul is the Armada vehicle variant.
Which constructor type to use depends on the phase of the game. Expanding constructors need escorts. Plan accordingly.
Creed of champions
Understanding game mechanics is easier when you can ask questions without judgment. Creed of Champions is built for that exact purpose.
[Crd] Having a space like here that offers a community, trainings, events, and the guarantee to not be judged or insulted by fellow members is really precious. Keeping the game safe, and more importantly, fun.
Competitive play. Zero team-blame.
