Constructor Bots and Rezbots: How Assignment and Auto-Repair Work

Understand how constructor bots assist builds, why rezbots sometimes abandon repairs, and how to keep your builders working efficiently in Beyond All Reason.

Using constructor bots effectively

Constructor bots do not passively wander over to new construction. You need to assign them actively. Right-click a constructor bot on the structure you want it to build or assist. Without that manual assignment, the bot sits idle even if there are buildings queued nearby. Construction turrets behave differently. They auto-assist anything within their radius. You can also right-click a turret onto a specific task if you need targeted help on a priority build.

Rezbots and repair behavior

Rezbots are meant to finish repairing their rezzed targets before moving on to the next wreck. That is the default intended behavior. When rezbots break off repairs mid-job, it usually happens because you issued them a new order while they were still working. Giving a rezbots fresh instructions interrupts their current repair cycle and sends them after the new target immediately.

When rezbots stop repairing: bug versus user input

Sometimes rezbots abandon repairs even without new orders. Players report this as a bug. The intended behavior is clear rezbots should complete repairs before seeking the next target. If you are watching a group of rezbots and they scatter before finishing a job, avoid giving them additional commands until the current repair batch completes. If the problem persists without player input, it may be a game bug worth reporting.

Builder management habits

Good builder micromanagement starts with knowing what auto-does and what needs manual input. Turrets assist automatically. Constructors need you to point them at a target. Rezbots hold their repair unless interrupted. Keep those rules in mind during fast expansion phases and you will avoid the common trap of idle constructors sitting next to half-built defenses.

Coordination comes from practice

Understanding builder behavior is one thing. Having a team where everyone knows how to share builder duties is another. Creed of Champions values that kind of practiced coordination. Teams train together, share build order knowledge, and expect each player to pull their weight without drama.
