How to Access BAR Development Channels

Want to see behind the curtain on Beyond All Reason development? The Dev Role unlocks a whole category of channels that most players never see.

How to grab the Dev Role

The process is self-serve. Navigate to the customization menu in the Discord and select the wrench icon for the Development Role. That single toggle flips every channel marked No Access in the Development category into visible, readable channels.

The entire category appears the moment the role activates. No approval needed, no application to fill out.

Rules for Dev channel participation

Development channels host serious technical discussions. Respect the environment by following a few guidelines:

These are working spaces where developers discuss technical matters. Treat them with the same respect you would want in your own workspace.

Where to post bugs and suggestions

BAR tracks bugs through GitHub Issues for the project, but the community bug reporting channel serves as an accessible entry point. If you find a bug, the structured channel helps ensure developers can reproduce and classify it properly.

Suggestions belong in their own channel. Mixing bug reports and suggestions in Dev discussion threads creates confusion and slows down actual development work.

Game crashes and server downtime

BAR occasionally experiences crashes or temporary server issues. These situations typically resolve within fifteen minutes. If the game becomes unresponsive during a server event, the practical approach is to step away for a few minutes and check back rather than spamming channels with reports.

Learning resources in the community

Beyond the development channels, several community spaces help new players learn the game. The Academy Chat provides a structured environment for asking questions and getting guidance from experienced mentors who monitor the channel regularly.

Learn from people who take the game seriously

Accessing development channels shows genuine interest in the game. That same dedication to understanding how things work translates directly into better gameplay. Creed of Champions values players who put in that effort and surrounds them with mentors who share knowledge freely instead of hoarding it.

"Having a space like here that offers a community, trainings, events, and the guarantee to not be judged or insulted by fellow members is really precious. Keeping the game safe, and more importantly, fun." [Crd]
