The AI difficulty system in BAR does not map cleanly to player skill levels. Even the simplest AI can overwhelm a new player if you do not know basic unit counters. The Inactive AI and Builder AI are non aggressive options that work well for learning the game mechanics at your own pace.
BAR includes a special wave-based AI called Raptors. They operate from a nest structure and send escalating waves of attackers. Your goal is to survive the waves and kill the queen. The queen scales in size, spawns minions, and develops resistance against the weapon types you use against her. Defeating the queen ends the game.
If your army keeps losing to the Raptors despite building heavily, focus on weapon variety. The queen adapts to single damage types. Mix energy, impact, and ballistic damage to keep her from building immunity.
The Scavenger boss AI activates after you eliminate all Scavenger commanders. It sends a large reinforcement wave as a final challenge. Build defenses before taking down the last commander.
The soundtrack options can run independently. Unchecking the original soundtrack and enabling others will still play some music depending on your total settings. If audio seems wrong, check the main music toggle first before troubleshooting further.
Learning against AI is a valid path to competence. Creed of Champions encourages practice without judgment and helps players transition from solo AI games to competitive team matches.
