Why armasp, armfasp, corasp, and corfasp build options are gone in BAR

Certain legacy build options in Beyond All Reason have been removed through patch updates. Players working with mods need to account for the missing references.

What happened to these units

The armasp, armfasp, corasp, and corfasp build options were removed from the base game through a cleanup PR that stripped out their models, unitdefs, and scripts. This means those internal identifiers no longer exist in a current install.

Mod developers who reference these units in custom builds will crash their mod unless they create a patch variant that specifically excludes the missing references. Any mod that imports or extends these units without accounting for the removal will break.

What this means for players

Regular players will not notice the change. These were edge-case units used mostly in modding rather than standard gameplay. The cleanup was part of a broader effort to keep the unit definition files lean and maintainable.

Coop economy mechanics

One related question that comes up: in coop play, pooling money and rushing a T2 unit together is a valid strategy. Teammates can coordinate production queues to get stronger units faster than either could alone. This works differently than playing side by side in separate economies.

Creed of Champions

Creed members who mod or customize the game share technical knowledge in the same respectful tone they use in matches. No shame for not knowing, just clear answers.

[Crd] Gaming actually fulfills a human purpose here - cooperation, mutual upbuilding, fun and striving for greatness together. Instead of random anonymity, you meet, learn from, and enjoy real people.

Serious strategy without the friction. Creed builds communities that value sharing knowledge and lifting each other up.
