How to adjust game settings before a match starts using BAR's lobby tweak system.
The !bset command lets lobby hosts and players adjust game parameters before a match starts. You type it in the lobby chat followed by the tweak slot number and the encoded value you want. Each slot controls a specific setting: resource rates, unit caps, fog parameters, and other match rules.
The encoding system exists because tweak values are not always simple numbers. Some settings use bitmasks or compound values that pack multiple options into a single parameter. Getting the encoding wrong will either produce a bizarre result or get the command rejected entirely.
Hosts should coordinate with teammates before changing tweak values mid-queue. A setting that feels fast to one player can feel broken to another.
If your !bset commands get ignored, check the lobby permissions first. Only the host and co-hosts typically have permission to modify tweak slots. Ranked matches may lock certain tweaks to maintain competitive consistency. If a slot accepts your value but produces unexpected results, you likely used the wrong encoding for that particular slot.
The mini-map widget also interacts with some tweak settings, particularly those related to fog and vision. Changes to those slots may require restarting the lobby for the mini-map display to update correctly.
Good game settings create fair matches. Creed of Champions applies the same principle to community standards: clear rules, consistent enforcement, no drama. Members know exactly what to expect before every match starts, and the environment stays clean for everyone.
[Crd] One of the few places where you can for sure coordinate with people in matches with a good supportive attitude. Everybody tends to be understanding and constructive.
Set the right parameters before the clock starts and everyone has a better game.
