Chevron ranks in BAR do not update instantly. They can take up to a full day to reflect your playtime. If you have been playing for several hours and your chevron has not changed, wait and check again tomorrow.
You can also try logging out of the lobby and logging back in. Sometimes the display refreshes after a relogin even before the scheduled update.
Use the whoami command in the lobby chat to see your recorded playtime. Chevron ranks count only actual play time and half of spectating time. If you have been mostly spectating instead of playing, your chevron progress moves slower than you might expect.
While your rank processes, the BAR community produces strategy video series covering micro, macro, and everything between. These teach the fundamentals that actually move your chevron forward once it does update. Watching them saves you from making the same mistakes across dozens of games.
