Ctrl plus space plus fight

The Ctrl plus Space combined with the Fight command tells units to reclaim enemy wreckage and stop building entirely. This is the command you use when you want your builders to prioritize cleanup over construction. Every other fight command variant still allows build assist, so Ctrl Space Fight is the unique one that fully halts building.

Hold position and repair priority

Hold position may prioritize repair over other assist commands. If your builder is repairing damaged defense towers but you want it to assist with new construction, you need to clear the hold order first. The default assist behavior includes building new structures, which means old damaged towers do not get repaired unless you explicitly command it.

Team versus ally distinction

BAR distinguishes between team and ally. In the game code, team means the specific color you control. Ally encompasses all allied colors: red, yellow, magenta, orange, and the rest. Help allies means help other players in your alliance. This distinction matters for the assist command. Units assist the team color by default, not the full alliance.

Fine control limitations

Some players want more granular control over builder assist behavior. The fine detail of telling a builder to repair old towers but ignore new construction is not straightforward. The control commands available are close but not perfectly separable for every scenario.

Creed of Champions: clear communication wins

Understanding the game's control nuances separates organized teams from scattered ones. Creed of Champions players practice command discipline and communicate orders clearly, which makes every team function smoothly.
