External community platforms occasionally experience outages. When that happens, players lose access to text channels and voice rooms that normally coordinate matches. The in-game lobby chat remains available as a backup communication method. Players can use lobby chat to organize games even when outside platforms are unreachable.
Server status pages and in-game announcements provide the primary source of truth during any outage. Waiting for official updates rather than relying on rumors keeps everyone informed accurately.
Tickspam is an in-game chat mechanic where players send repeated short messages to convey urgency or coordinate. It serves as a lightweight communication tool during fast-paced matches when typing full sentences is impractical. A rapid sequence of single characters or short pings signals attention immediately.
While effective for quick alerts, excessive tickspam can overwhelm teammates. The community has implicit norms around when tickspam is appropriate. Using it to coordinate a push or flag an incoming attack works well. Spamming it constantly during calm periods just creates noise.
