The build order that works for most team games and how to stop enemies from grabbing island resource spots.
Start with extractors on available metal spots. Build energy infrastructure to power your first lab. Get that lab up, then produce additional constructors for expansion. Those constructors should assist your lab and push map control. Build enough army to hold the map, then expand energy as metal income grows.
Once you have extra metal income flowing, invest in more economy to prepare for T2. This loop repeats. Secure resources, build power, expand, produce army, repeat.
Keep one to two constructors in your base building wind turbines and other structures. Send two or more constructors outward to build extractors on distant mexes. Those expanding constructors should have escorts with them. Sending a lone constructor to an exposed location is asking for lost time and metal.
If an opponent sends a Geosea to grab island mexes, you need a fast response. Buy a fighter from air production, get an anti-air bot, and use a transport to carry a constructor or a heavy transport to ferry your commander to the island. Quick reaction beats perfect planning here.
[Crd] One of the few places where you can for sure coordinate with people in matches with a good supportive attitude. Everybody tends to be understanding and constructive.
Serious RTS play without the toxic baggage.
