Account registration issues, where to ask gameplay questions, and how Beyond All Reason tracks bugs for the open-source project.
Players who experienced Total Annihilation years ago and are now returning sometimes encounter account creation difficulties. Password validation messages can appear incorrectly during registration. The BAR community on Discord provides direct support for these issues, and moderators can verify account status or troubleshoot registration problems.
BAR maintains two primary Discord channels for new player questions. The dedicated help channels provide rapid responses to technical and account questions. The academy chat connects players with mentors who review gameplay and answer strategy questions. Mentors typically operate across all time zones, making help available around the clock.
Unlike many games that rely solely on in-game reporting, BAR tracks bugs through public GitHub repositories. The project splits issues across four repositories: Lobby and launcher bugs live in the BYAR-Chobby repository, game-specific issues go to Beyond-All-Reason, engine problems track in the Spring Engine repository, and map issues use the bar-maps repository.
This open-source approach means anyone can check whether their issue has already been reported or is being fixed in an upcoming update.
