What is reportable in BAR

BAR keeps the same line most serious RTS communities draw. Direct harassment, racist language, deliberate game sabotage, and real-world threats all warrant a report. Poor gameplay, bad calls during a team match, and losing streaks do not. If someone is simply outplayed or having a rough night, that goes on the replay review list rather than the moderation desk.

The moderation team reviews evidence attached to reports. This means screenshots, chat logs, or replay files that clearly show the offending behavior. Vague complaints without supporting material tend to stall out before they reach a decision.

Where to file a report

Reports go through the BAR Discord moderation channels. The community moderators there have the context and access needed to investigate properly. Drop your evidence in the designated report channel and let the team work through it. Do not escalate things in public chat threads by posting about the offending player there. That just creates more noise for mods to sort through.

If you encounter toxic behavior mid-match, the cleanest response is to mute the player in-game when possible, finish the game if you can, and report afterward with whatever evidence you captured. Stopping mid-game to argue rarely ends well for anyone.

What happens after you report

Moderators review reports privately. The outcome might be a warning, a temporary ban, or a permanent removal depending on severity and history. You do not always get a public update on every case, since moderation actions are handled quietly to avoid feeding drama. That quiet approach is by design. It keeps the focus on keeping games playable rather than running public tribunals.

Common conduct misunderstandings

Players sometimes confuse aggressive in-game strategy with reportable behavior. Rush attacks, map denial, economic pressure, and sneaky drops are all valid tactics. None of them are harassment just because they annoyed the opponent. Report the person, not the game plan.

On the lighter side, BAR players joke around with wild game mode ideas and casual banter. That is normal community culture. Mods generally ignore harmless joking between consenting adults who know each other well enough to not take it personally.

Keeping your own game clean

The best defense against toxic teammates is building habits that keep matches calm. Mute quickly if chat starts heating up. Focus on your own economy and army rather than typing complaints. After a rough game, take a break before queuing again. Players who tilt-stack games rarely climb rating anyway.

For players who want steady improvement without the drama, joining a community that screens for attitude helps. Creed of Champions runs a teamwork-first environment where constructive feedback replaces blame.

One of the few places where you can for sure coordinate with people in matches with a good supportive attitude. Everybody tends to be understanding and constructive. [Crd]
