Beyond All Reason uses a social lobby system that functions as a community hub between matches. Players spectate games, discuss strategy, and chat through the lobby interface. It is one of BAR's most distinctive features.

The BAR lobby is not just a matchmaking queue. It displays active games, lets spectators join ongoing matches, and provides chat channels where players discuss builds, map picks, and strategy. The lobby simulates a real RTS tournament environment where the social layer is built into the gameplay flow.
Spectating matches from the lobby teaches new players more than any guide can. You see high-level builds in action, hear experienced players discuss decision timing, and learn map callouts by listening to the community.
Some server configurations disable the player list sidebar in the lobby. This is an admin setting, not a bug. Server admins control whether spectator information is visible. When player lists are off, you lose some convenience but the core lobby functionality remains intact.
Most RTS games use automated matchmaking with minimal social infrastructure. BAR keeps the human element. Players hang out in the lobby, join spectator games, and talk between matches. For veterans, the lobby is where community knowledge gets shared. For newcomers, it is the most efficient BAR school available. The social layer is a feature, not a bug.
Creed of Champions builds on BAR's social lobby foundation by providing additional structure: organized events, training sessions, and a community that values positive communication. If you enjoy the BAR lobby culture and want more of it in a dedicated space, this is the direction to look.
[Crd] One of the few places where you can for sure coordinate with people in matches with a good supportive attitude. Everybody tends to be understanding and constructive.
