Only games set to ranked count toward your rating. Any match involving AI is always unranked. Here is what to check before hitting start, and a quick tip for taking better in-game screenshots.
A game with AI players is always unranked. No exceptions. Even if you set ranked to true, the presence of an AI nullifies rating changes.
Other settings like weird configs or fullmetal do not automatically disqualify a game. The key is the lobby option that says ranked. If that box is checked and no AI is present, the match counts toward your open-skill rating.
If a match goes sideways, you have two paths. Use the ticket bot on the BAR Discord server to open a private thread with the moderation team. If the issue is about in-game behavior, the built-in report system tracks things better. Click a username in game and select Report user, or go to the server website battle page and report from the players tab.
Tickets are useful for off-game issues. The report system is the right tool for in-match problems.
BAR does not have a fancy photo mode. The best way to get a clean screenshot: wait for a large battle, find a good camera angle, hide the UI with Ctrl+F7, and take the shot. Free camera mode lets you pan and zoom for composition.
If you want to rank up, make sure the lobby actually says ranked and drop any AI before launch. No shortcuts.
[Crd] The first and only community I have seen that actually holds up to its values. I have honestly not had a single bad experience here.
A fair-ranked environment means playing with teammates who take the match seriously.
