BAR rating history gaps in GEX and why Front map hurts carry potential

GEX only pulls profile data from a certain date onward, which makes veterans with older playtime appear to have fewer games than they actually played. Additionally, players wonder why frontline struggles as a carry branch on certain maps. Here is what is happening with both issues.

GEX missing older play history

The GEX tool pulls profile data starting from a specific date to avoid processing all historical replays. This means any games played before that cutoff do not appear in GEX analytics. Players whose majority of BAR experience predates that cutoff look underplayed in the tool even with hundreds of total matches.

Hearing the BAR soundtrack

The BAR soundtrack available on YouTube is compressed at 128kbps. For full quality audio, download the original files directly from the BAR GitHub repository at github.com/beyond-all-reason.Beyond-All-Reason/tree/master/music/original. These are the uncompressed source files, identical to what the developers created.

Frontline does not always carry

Frontline branch performance depends heavily on maps with geo vents. On maps where geo expansion matters most, frontline composition becomes secondary to positioning around geo vents. On pond or standard terrain maps, frontline carries effectively through consistent damage output and durability.

Choose maps that reward your strengths

Map selection changes which strategies work. Creed of Champions helps players understand map-specific strategy differences and choose games where their strengths actually matter.
