Game crashes happen. When a player rejoins, their army does not simply return to normal. Here is what to expect and what the team should do.

Players who crash during a match can rejoin from the lobby. The game catches them up to the current state. This works smoothly for most crashes. The player reconnects with their economy and existing buildings intact.
When a player crashes, the BAR client sometimes reports zero units for the returning player. Teammates who try to share units back may see a unit cap reached error. This happens because the system believes the returned player has zero unit slots available.
The workaround is to use the slash take command instead. A teammate takes the crashed player's units, then the crashed player reclaims them through normal gameplay.
When a teammate crashes, the team should immediately slash take their army. This prevents the idle army problem and ensures someone controls those units. When the player rejoins, they can focus on rebuilding economy while the team handles the front.
Keep log files from the crash session. Logs help identify whether the crash was a BAR bug or a system issue. Share crash logs in the BAR bug report channels with the relevant match details. This helps developers fix recurring problems.
