What happens to your BAR rating when you resign mid game

Your PC struggles mid fight. You hand your base to a teammate and leave. Does your Openskill rating take a hit if the team wins.

Resigning and rating impact

If your computer cannot handle the game and you hand your base to a teammate before resigning, the system still registers you as having left the match. Openskill processes ratings based on the players who remain active in the game. If your team wins after you resign, the rating outcome for your portion of the team performance may differ from what the remaining players receive.

The safest approach is to lower your graphics settings before a match if you know your system struggles with large late-game armies. Fewer active units and simpler effects reduce the load significantly.

Reporting disruptive players

If someone is intentionally disrupting matches or trolling across multiple games, use the server website to find the battle and report them through the players tab. The search function on the account page also lets you find users by name. Keep in mind the search field has a known bug where pressing enter does not work. Click the search button instead.

Creed of Champions

Leaving a match because your hardware is struggling should never be something you get yelled about. Creed of Champions understands that real life and technical limitations happen. The community focuses on moving forward productively instead of assigning blame.
