Ban an entire class by listing each unit name and applying the restriction parameter. The process is faster than it looks: compile a list of naval unit identifiers separated by commas, apply unitrestricted to each entry, and the units disappear from build menus.
The same pattern works for air units. The approach scales to any unit group you want to disable for a custom match or scenario.
The engine enforces a minimum build range of 38 for construction units. Setting the value lower does not break the game, but it gets forced back to 38. Player particles may not render if the value sits below this threshold, but the functional range still clamps to 38.
This matters when configuring construction units for scenarios where you want builders to operate at specific distances from their targets.
Land-only matches, aerial battles, and experimental-only games all benefit from clean category restrictions. Setting up the rules in the lobby eliminates confusion during the match and ensures every player understands the modified roster.
