A real in-game scenario, how to check your stats outside the game, and how to get feedback on your decisions.
A common BAR situation. Your opponent is locked up fighting on one front while you have freedom of movement on another. The right call depends on what you have available.
If you are already engaged on your own front, hold the line. Do not redirect forces away from an active fight. The moment your attention splits, you give your opponent a chance to exploit both fronts.
If you have spare resources and are not fighting, consider building specialized units that can exploit the gap. For Armada players, a lab producing a single rocket-equipped bot can shift a stalemate. Sneaking a cloaked unit to harass enemy static defenses like laser towers can open up the map for your team.
The BAR rating server at server4.beyondallreason.info is accessible from any web browser. You log in with your BAR credentials and can view ratings, match history, and leaderboard data directly from the website.
Use this to track your progress outside the game. Check your rating history after a session to see if your recent games pushed you up or down. The data updates after each completed match, so you can monitor your trajectory game by game.
If you want to know whether you made the right call in a specific engagement, replay review is your best tool. Upload is automatic to the BAR website replay page. Grab the link, share it with the community, and ask for feedback on the moments where you were unsure.
Mentors review replays when available and will point out what they would have done in your position. This is especially useful for the split-second tactical decisions that change entire games.
Creed of Champions builds tactical awareness through team practice and constructive post-game discussion.
[Crd] I love being able to communicate with my team, getting and sharing tips and constructive feedback on gameplay, and having a good spirited community.
Better decisions come from more reps and honest feedback. Both are easier to get with a stable group.
