TweakUnits lets you modify unit definitions, but getting your changes to actually load takes a few steps. Here is what to check when configs refuse to work.
If your TweakUnits changes do not show up in game, verify three things. First, confirm the syntax matches the base game format exactly. Copying from another source without adjusting faction names causes silent failures. Second, try putting the commands directly through the in-game chat console before editing config files. This confirms the values actually work. Third, scan the game log after launch for specific syntax errors that point to the broken line.
Some units visible in screenshots or videos are not part of vanilla BAR. Check the modded units tab before assuming something is missing. Extra units and scavenger units require manual enabling in game settings. Without those toggled on, the units simply do not appear in your build menus, regardless of TweakUnits setup.
Copying unit definition blocks between different mod setups breaks more often than it works. Faction-specific definitions need faction-specific paths. A config that works for one faction will silently fail for another. Always test changes in a skirmish match before taking them to multiplayer.
Account and client issues go to the support channels. Modding questions belong in the modding community space. Knowing the right channel avoids wasting time asking in the wrong room. Non-English speakers often default to the main general channel first. Check the channel descriptions for language-specific rooms.
