Wind generators produce strong income on almost every map where they are available. Players do not need convincing to build wind because the math favors it on most terrain. Solar panels become relevant on maps with poor wind coverage or specific strategic setups.

When solar makes sense

Solar panels provide consistent energy without the slight variance that wind carries. On maps where wind patterns are unpredictable or where forward positioning demands power, solar generators become a strategic alternative. They also cost less build power than wind generators in some configurations.

Energy stalling

New players often stall on energy because they build too many wind generators without checking the output. The energy bar should stay positive under full production. If it dips, add solar panels or reduce energy-intensive production temporarily.

Map-specific planning

Check the minimap for wind patterns before placing generators. High-wind zones show visually on the minimap. Place wind in those zones and fill gaps with solar. This hybrid approach maximizes energy income across all map types.
