Corsair bots start strong. Thugs are cheap, available from T1, and handle early harassment well. But players who stay on bots for too long find themselves outranged and outdamaged by mid-game compositions. The transition point comes around the time your opponent switches to T2 units or starts using artillery-style units that outrange everything you can produce from bot factories alone.
Wolverines fill a specific role that bots cannot: long-range fire that shoots over terrain obstacles. Maps like Glitters Gulch feature rock formations and elevation changes where Wolverines outperform every other land unit because they do not need direct line of sight to hit their targets.
Build Wolverines when you have stable T1 income but are hitting a wall against organized enemy defenses. The transition should feel natural. Keep some bots as a screen while your Wolverines set up and fire from behind cover. This two-layer approach handles both close-range pressure and long-range trade.
If you are unsure when to transition between unit types, upload your replay. Experienced players can spot the exact moment your unit composition stopped being effective and suggest a better timing for the switch. BAR automatically saves replays on the website. Private matches store them locally in the data/demos folder. Sharing your replay and explaining what felt wrong is the fastest way to level up.
Newcomers asking basic questions about unit transitions often get the best advice from communities built around patient teaching. Creed of Champions welcomes players at every skill level and values constructive guidance over dismissive answers.
[Crd] Crd is the first really comfortable community I have been a part of. Everyone is nice and kind, the atmosphere is relaxed, and I am not getting yelled at for not being optimal.
