Landed aircraft visibility and vulnerability

Aircraft on the ground can still be attacked. Enemy air units can target them. However, landed aircraft are harder for enemy air to spot and engage compared to planes in the open sky.

Landing to avoid an incoming fighter sweep works as a short-term survival tactic. Leaving them parked there for too long creates a sitting-duck situation if the enemy searches for you. Use landing as a defensive reflex, not a permanent hiding spot.

AI difficulty and overhaul scale

AI difficulty settings interact with the overhaul scale system in ways that are not always obvious from the lobby screen. Setting an AI to brutal difficulty while running easy AI mode bumps the effective overhaul scale up by one level.

A five OS game becomes six OS with that combination. The shift matters because overhaul scale controls unit composition, economic scaling, and overall pressure. If you are practicing and the game feels harder than the lobby screen suggests, check both difficulty and AI mode settings.
