Legion developers removed the dedicated AA-only railgun role because most Legion railguns already engage ground and air targets. Maintaining one specialized AA-only railgun did not fit the faction design. The T2 AA bot that previously filled this slot was replaced by units offering broader coverage.
The Daedalus serves as a strong T3 air defense platform for Legion players. When transitioning to late game, your railgun units provide natural AA coverage without needing dedicated air defense structures in most situations.
Legion runs three primary railgun platforms, and all three handle dual roles. You do not need to split production between AA and anti-ground variants. Build the units, group them, and let their natural targeting handle the rest.
Settings allow toggling various railgun behaviors. Check the keybind configuration under the Custom settings tab to adjust targeting priorities and control groups to match your playstyle.
