Why Calamity and Ragnarok are not firing automatically in BAR

Players sometimes find their superweapon units sitting idle despite having Fire At Will on and unlimited energy. Here is what is going on.

Known behavior

This has been reported as a bug by the community. Ragnarok and Calamity units can refuse to fire at valid targets even when Fire At Will is enabled, energy storage is massive, and no terrain obstructs the line of sight. The unit is not blocked. It simply does not engage.

If you lose a game because your superweapon did not shoot at a Titan or other target, manually tasking the unit is the reliable workaround. Issue explicit fire orders instead of relying on auto-targeting in critical moments.

What we know

The community has flagged this behavior in support channels. It may be related to the targeting priority logic or a pathing obstruction that the game engine detects but players cannot see. Until the issue gets patched, treat Fire At Will on superweapons as unreliable. Always double-check your most powerful units during active engagements.

Reporting bugs

File bug reports in the community bug channel with details: what unit, what target, energy levels, and any terrain notes. The development team reads these and triages fixes. Clear reports get fixed faster.
