BAR Rating After Resign and Selection Tricks You Should Know
Two things that trip up BAR players constantly: what happens to your rating when you leave after a resignation, and cleaning up mixed unit selections.
Leaving After Resign and Your Rating
When your team resigns and you leave the match, your rating behavior depends on timing. Leaving right near the end of a match can preserve your rating credit in some cases, but the team result still determines the final win or loss calculation. You do not escape a loss by disconnecting before the game officially closes out. If you wait for the match to resolve naturally, the rating system handles the result properly. Leaving early risks getting neither the clear result nor proper credit.
Cleaning Up Mixed Selections
Box select in BAR catches everything in the rectangle. Pulling a group of ground units often grabs air units flying overhead. The fix is simple: right-click the unwanted units on their tiles to remove them from the selection. No need to re-select everything. Right-click removes what you accidentally grabbed. It is one of those BAR mechanics that feels obvious once you know it but nobody explains it upfront.
UI Framework Basics
If you are building widgets, know the landscape. Chili is the higher-level UI framework that most widget developers touch first. It has layout gaps and can feel overfeatured, but it works. MasterFramework sits underneath it at a lower level. Moving Chili on top of MasterFramework could be useful in some ways but they are fundamentally incompatible in others. Pick the right tool for your widget complexity and do not fight the framework that fits.
